intimidation [22 Jan 2006|02:08pm]

flying_swallow
Well uh.

I was gonna rush to the rescue of the pretty lady surrounded by Kooluk thugs, but considering how dead most of those thugs look, maybe she doesn't need much help after all?

I am not a particularly violent person. It's just that I understand when certain measures have to be taken.

Kyril [22 Jan 2006|01:29pm]

legacy_andarc
I have concern with Kyril's latest selection of companionship. While we certainly have dealt with brigands and the like in the past to achieve our goals, perhaps none were so brash and malodourous our current company. Normally I would strongly advise against conspiring with an individual of that nature but I recall Lady Kika and the assistance of she and her comrades three years ago when Walter was still among us, may his eternal soul have respite, and therefore I am inclined to believe that she may have some manner of intimation as to the whereabouts of more Rune Cannons or at the very least information about their continuing evanescence.

Though it was difficult to discern in the chaos that evening I believe that Lady Kika may have suffered a tragedy equal to our own in the wreckage and perhaps may be better equipped to empathize with Kyril than any of the rest of us. Kyril has become increasingly estranged; perhaps this emotional connection may cement his emotional condition back into the realm of actuality. He seems to remember Lady Kika as well, albeit not clearly, and this has spurred him to expedite our venture in that general direction. He must be more eager for that emotional connection than I had anticipated. I have not been wary and attentive enough to his spiritual needs, and must add this to my ever-growing inventory of things for which to atone.

I do wonder how Roget is doing.

He'd certainly better have remembered to pick up those eggs.

Busk, what nonsense is this? Have you been hitting the bottle too hard again lately?

This is not the way an officer of the Kooluk military should conduct oneself.

Mercantilism [22 Jan 2006|01:09pm]

flying_swallow
Wow, this Chiepoo guy sure is generous. He paid us way more than we actually bought those Mega Medicines for. Apparently he's got some competition on that island with a really bratty robot merchant, but since he's been so good to us I guess we could pass up the X & Co. jobs.

Unless they pay better.

Visit [22 Jan 2006|01:02pm]

royal_corselia
Aunt Ornela wrote to me today and said she was going to visit later. She sounded a little worried... with Father out so often, she always tries to keep an eye on me. But I don't think I've been too bad off-- the worst thing that's happened today was losing a game of trivial pursuit to a couple of fish.

It's always nice when she visits though. She always brings interesting stories with her. I always get the feeling she and Mother don't like each other much, though.

Mr. Chiepoo sure was lucky to have a business ace like me help him out! His shop so needed tons of rennovations. He didn't even have any sacrificial altars for the resident demon lords, for goodness' sake! :) He was always pretty silly!

HIIIIII, Mr. Kyril! I'm back safe and sound!

Ah, I understand. So it was the island liberation forces that destroyed the giant tree. That seems somewhat counter-productive, though; what circumstances would have forced their hand or their ire to compel them to commit such an act? Being occupied with caring for Kyril during that time, we've only really heard whispers of the going-ons during that period...
